Lake Nona and Track Shack Host 2^nd ANNUAL RUNNONA 5K at ‘Medical City.’

On Saturday, November 7^th, Lake Nona will host its second annual RUNNONA 5k, offering run/walk enthusiasts of all ages a unique opportunity to view the emerging Medical City and Orlando’s fastest growing, innovative, master-planned community.

The road race starts directly outside UCF’s Health Sciences Campus and will lead participants along the beautifully landscaped Lake Nona Boulevard. The last stretch will wind through the award-winning VillageWalk at Lake Nona community. Exciting post-race entertainment for all ages will be waiting at the finish line and on the lawn at VillageWalk’s Town Center.

In addition to the 5K run/walk, a series of free kids’ runs, ranging from 100 yards to 400 meters, will take place at 9:15 a.m., sponsored exclusively by Nemours Children’s Hospital. The first 150 registered participants will receive a custom kids-designed T-shirt and goodie bag.  All kids participating will receive an official race bib and finisher’s ribbon.

Proceeds benefit the Tavistock Foundation, a charitable organization established by Lake Nona’s parent company, which serves programs and organizations in the communities where it has significant business interests.
