Each month the East Orlando Chamber of Commerce (EOCC) highlights one of its members as the Business of the Month. To gain this recognition, the selected business has to meet or exceed the business of the month criteria found on the chambers website at www.eocc.org. As the site explains, the chamber business of the month shall be chosen based upon a particular business meeting one or several of the following criteria in the past 60 days. The Chamber members vote monthly on which business exemplified these criteria the best. While several of the members may have met one or even a few of the criteria, this month one business stands out.

This month’s business of the month goes to Johnny Rockets and owner Linda Moore at the Waterford Lakes Town Center. To earn business of the month honors Johnny Rockets has continually supported the EOCC and given back to the community in several ways. EOCC President, Annie Winterbottom, commented on Johnny Rockets support of the chamber, “Johnny Rockets has showed continuous support for the chamber and many of its endeavors throughout the East Orlando community. Each quarter Johnny Rockets generously opens its doors for a meeting place for new members to get acquainted with other new members and the chamber.”

The owner of Johnny Rockets at Waterford Lakes Town Center, Linda Moore, was very appreciative of the recognition. “I am surprised and happy to receive business of the month honors. We love to give back as much as possible and providing a place for new members to get acquainted is the least we can do for the chamber. Thanks so much to all those businesses who voted for us as business of the month.” Linda has owned Johnny Rockets for several years and has seen the Waterford Town Center grow and expand. Owner Linda Moore explains a little bit of the ambiance at Johnny Rockets, “We always dance on the half hour, twirl straws and serve ketchup with a smile. We handle guest needs right then and there.”

On June 6, 1986, the first Johnny Rockets opened on trendy Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, offering its guests fast, friendly service, a simple menu, great food and fun. People were immediately drawn to the all-American diner look and feel, servers who know the secret behind getting ketchup out of the bottle, tabletop jukeboxes that belt out tunes for a nickel and authentic décor. Johnny Rockets is the place where every guest can enjoy all-American favorites served with a smile!
